It has been reported that what we felt at 430 this morning was actually an earthquake and not an aftershock...not really sure how they determine that or separate the two... Apparently there was an aftershock at 1030 as well, but virtually no one felt it. We happened to have an engineer coming this afternoon to check the structural integrity of the guest house, and we were cleared! The house is still completely safe!
We had a wonderful day today...I was the pharmacist at clinic...super fun! I also held some beautiful babies while their mothers were checked out...and gave some crushed meds in liquid to a baby with worms in his belly...I also helped with some wound care...I'm becoming a pseudo-nurse as we go along! We saw about 75 patients with just about 5 of us at clinic...the rest of our team was out in the community...
We had cream of rice for breakfast...soooo yummy!!! And rice with a pork and beans/white bean soup type thing on top...also delicious!
We have been relaxing this evening...fighting off the millions of bugs...I'm certain they are worse this year! And just a few minutes ago, one of our Haitian staff brought his cousin to be looked at...He has just been attacked by the neighbors dog. Pretty mild as far as dog bites go, but still painful...
Will be going to be soon...lots more work for tomorrow!
