Peanut Brittle
2 cups sugar
1 cup Karo Syrup
1/2 cup water
dash of salt
2 cups raw spanish peanuts
1 Tbs Butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 Tbs baking soda
Heat sugar, karo, water, and salt in large pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until temperature reaches hard ball stage on a candy thermometer.
Stir in peanuts and butter. Continue heating, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches hard crack stage on a candy thermometer.
Take off heat, quickly stir in vanilla and baking soda. Once thoroughly mixed, pour onto large cookie sheet.
Let cool for about 2 hours. Peel off foil and break into pieces.
Enjoy! And try not to eat the whole batch in one sitting!
***Made this with my MIL last weekend! She makes it every year and I finally got to join in the fun!***
